The values of the temperature T_c (a), the current density j (b), and the electron temperature T_e (c) along the cathode surface (s denotes the distance measured from the center of the cathode) are computed in the framework of a model and its non-equlibrium boundary layer for electric currents of 400, 600, and 800 A. This model solves the equations of current continuity and heat transfer of the cathode applying boundary conditions for the cathode surface in contact with plasma, which are defined in terms of temperature on the cathode surface and the voltage drop in the boundary layer.
